12 Feb PIVOT POINT PUB DAY!!
So it’s finally here, the release day for PIVOT POINT by Kasie West.
If you haven’t heard about this book yet, you must be living under a rock. Or at least, you must not know me, because I pretty much can’t shut up about it.
But whatever. You can go read about it on goodreads here. Or in the Publishers Weekly starred review here.
Anyway, in case you didn’t click there (not because you didn’t want to read about it, but because you are hanging on my every word, obviously), I will tell you that the main character in PIVOT POINT, Addison, is a Searcher. Meaning that when faced with a choice, she can Search the two possibilities and then decide which path to take.
So picture me, sitting here at the computer, face scrunched up really tight while I concentrate on Searching really hard (incidentally, I feel I should mention that Addie doesn’t look like this when she Searches, but since she has this Ability and, to the best of my knowledge, I don’t, I thought I should concentrate harder).
Holy crap!
Just like Addie, but written way less skillfully than Kasie, I saw the two futures blending together.
In one future, I saw you buying PIVOT POINT.
In the other future, I saw you…
buying PIVOT POINT!
Clearly I need to work on my Searching skills.
Or do I??
You seriously don’t want to miss this book people.
Tell me in the comments what choice you would Search (or would have Searched) if you could.
Happy Book Birthday Kasie West!!!
Check out Kasie’s blog for news about upcoming appearances and more. She’s signing in her hometown appearance of Fresno, CA tonight, she’s heading to Utah, and then next week she’ll be at a joint signing with Kiersten White in Carlsbad, CA next week when MIND GAMES comes out!!
SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!!!

Posted at 10:32h, 12 FebruaryYAAAAAAAY! Congrats to you and Kasie! Pivot Point is probably the best book I’ve read in last year, and easily one of my top 5 favorite books EVER. I love ordering people to read it.
I can’t wait for Mind Games to come out! Woohoo!

Posted at 11:43h, 12 FebruaryI am SO looking forward to getting PIVOT POINT! And I can’t wait for my prize of MIND GAMES to arrive. Yee-HAW!
Now, if you give me an afternoon or so, I can teach you how to go into altered states, access your deeper consciousness, and Seek for yourself. Or bend forks. Whatever. Bending forks is way more fun, though…

Posted at 11:45h, 12 FebruaryI’m so happy today! Congrats to both of you! I shall spend the day tackling random people on the street and telling them that if they’d already bought her book, they might’ve honed their Searcher abilities (much like you) and would’ve seen me coming. 🙂
Hmm…what choice would I have searched…probably whether I should’ve eaten a pop-tart on January 15th. I didn’t and I still feel like it was a big mistake. Who knows how my life might’ve turned out differently? 😉

Posted at 12:14h, 12 FebruaryI could totally have told you that without Searching. Eating a Pop-Tart is never wrong.

Posted at 14:08h, 12 FebruaryWhat would I search for? I don’t think I could stop myself from searching for EVERYTHING! Hmmm, should I have pasta or a soup and a sandwich for lunch? Which one will lead to indigestion? It would make my life very complicated indeed…or would it make it easier? Who knows? I guess Addison does! Anyways, I am so excited to pick up Pivot Point today and tear into those pages, well, not tear as that would ruin the book but you get the point!
