29 Oct Holy Krakatoa! It’s So Shibumi!!
I mean, HOLY KRAKATOA tomorrow is going to be ONE WHOLE YEAR since I started my blog!!
But since I have a special post planned for tomorrow, I thought today I would share some of my favorites from the past year.
But first I have to get all mushy and say thanks for reading. This has been way more fun than I thought it would be, but without comments (really without WordPress site stats) to confirm that people are actually reading, I am sure I would have stopped long ago.
So first, as we wind down, I have to say that as much as I love shibumi, there really are times when Holy Krakatoa just fits the situation better. So I need to give a big shout out to Rena from the original search for a signature phrase post, for suggesting Holy Krakatoa. I don’t think I recognized its true genius at the time (although I did like it from the start). But what can I tell you? It just rolls off the tongue.
Holy Krakatoa really stands alone whereas something is so shibumi. Sometimes you need to live with a phrase, see it in action before you get the real, proper feel for it. And so it was with these two awesome signature phrases.
Wait, can I have two signature phrases? Um, yesss. This is my blog. I can do whatever I want.
OK, without further ado, here are my top 5 favorite posts:
The Tiger Has Roared (Ok, I was literally laughing out loud as I reread this. It’s completely random though.)
My top reason I could never be a writer
And of course the debate that blew my mind:
I’ve had fun revisiting a lot of my old posts–lots of wackiness, some decent advice, tons of great books, in my humble opinion.
I’ve got a special post planned for tomorrow, the actual one year anniversary, so be sure to check back then.
In the meantime, it’s been lots of fun. Thanks for making this such a SHIBUMI year!!
Which is your favorite? Tell me in the comments.

Posted at 18:16h, 29 OctoberHa ha….Holy Krakatoa needs to be elevated to chocolate bar status: a multi-layered treat of Fabumi swirls, drizzled with a hint of Buzzerkness, just like your posts.

Posted at 20:01h, 29 OctoberReally, REALLY love posts that show the new covers, because, and I know it’s wrong, I DO judge books by their covers. I always enjoy your book unveilings. But I think my favorite posts were about the Carlin Getliffe project. I always kinda hoped you come back and tell us why you chose the book you did and why it’s your ONE. Enjoyed reading it too. Happy Almost Anniversary! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for tomorrow. 🙂 You and K. Sabatini are going to take the world by storm!

Posted at 20:02h, 29 OctoberIt’s only been a year since you’ve been blogging? Wow. Time really flies. I’m glad your getting such a kick out of it. I think my favorite post is The Day I Got The Call. You were so funny and crazed with excitement! LOL…

Posted at 05:53h, 30 OctoberA world without a Wolfson blog would be like a giraffe without a neck, a Hulk Hogan sex tape without a ripple, a Tarantino film without blood and swearing, a vampire moose without a coffin to accommodate its antlers, a Yul Brynner lookalike festival without a spare supply of Remington batteries…
