UPDATE:

Linda has just received her FOURTH incredible review for IN A FIX, this time, a starred review from Library Journal. As Linda said, we now expect this to be in every library in the country.

OrangeReviewStar Sci Fi/Fantasy Reviews, August 2012 Grimes, Linda. In a Fix. Tor. Sept. 2012. c.336p.ISBN 9780765331809. pap. $14.99. FANTASY

Ciel Halligan is an aura adaptor, a human imitator, and there are many like her out there. The trait lends itself well to careers in covert operations, but becoming a spook doesn’t sit well with the macho males in her family. So Ciel runs a business impersonating clients, giving them a way out of sticky situations they’d rather not deal with personally. When her current client’s fiancé is kidnapped by neo-Vikings, Ciel finds herself caught between two men who play havoc with her emotions. When the case heats up, so does the attraction she feels for both of them. Can Ciel convince them she’s adult enough to play in their game, and will she survive to see where the fates will lead her heart? VERDICT Urban fantasy and paranormal novels crowd the shelves these days, so this reviewer is impressed by debut author Grimes’s fresh take on the genre. Fans of both hard and soft fantasy and crime drama will love her protagonist’s spunky, irreverent attitude as well as Grimes’s character-building skills and unusual storyline.—Debbie Haupt, St. Charles City/Cty P.L., MO

Original post now:

I had this whole post written about how psyched I was that I’d overcome the next blogging hurdle–inserting a video into a post.

Blah blah blah I’m so awesome. You know, my typical post.

I think there was even some stuff about how I thought it was the first time I was trying this unless I’d tried once before and crashed and burned but if I had, I didn’t remember.

Well, I remember this one.

Note to self: next time, insert the video first and then write the post.

I hereby present…the LINK to the video. Have you noticed how awesome I am at linking???

Oh, by the way, I think this is my favorite book trailer ever.

Did I mention that IN A FIX by Linda Grimes has gotten THREE (count ’em 3!!) rave reviews recently from trade publications???

Oh, and did I also mention that you can pre-order now at Barnes & Noble? Or Amazon? Or wherever else you like to do that kind of stuff?? Because it’s coming out September 4th!! Which is less than a month away!!

Shibumi!

Tell me in the comments if you’re #TeamBilly or #Team Mark. They even got the guys looking just the way I pictured them!! You’ll have to read the book to say for sure, but I’m #TeamBilly all the way!

You know you want to watch it again. Fine. Here.

You are so cute when you’re peddling your authors’ books! I love it.

I thought Tor and Circle of Seven Productions did a fantastic job with the trailer! I couldn’t be more pleased. 😀

Looking forward to this one! Judging from their trailer-photos only, I’m 100% Team Billy. DELICIOUS. (Yes, I had to pause the video on his shot to be able to say this conclusively.)

Having read the book, I’m team Billy all the way. But in that trailer they call Billy her “scoundrel of a cousin”. Ha. That doesn’t sound so good for us to be team Billy, does it??

Congrats, Linda on all your awesome reviews!! Totally deserved! And that is a great trailer.

LOL! Well, they do say he’s “charming,” too. Aren’t charming scoundrels the best? 😉
